Scribe game piece
The Scribe game piece's design is an outstretched arm and hand holding a scroll (shown above!). Scribes are approximately the same height as Knights but never taller than Bishops.
Each player begins the game with two (2) Scribes.
On its very first move, a Scribe may move either one (1) or two (2) squares diagonally.
A Scribe is allowed to capture any of the opponent's pieces on any square on its very first move and any other move afterward.
Moving onto the main playing board is entirely optional. A Scribe is allowed to sit on its original square, or on those squares it may occupy upon creating an Alliance or Kingdom, for the entire game.
But once a Scribe moves on the main chess board it may not move back off.
Those board squares comprising that part of the chess board that a Scribe may occupy prior to moving onto the main playing area have become known as the Dungeons.
